Nashua is Pleased to announce the appointment of Chris du Plesses as its new Managing Director. As of 1 September, Chris and Financial Director Renisha Premdeo are the proud new joint shareholders of Nashua Zululand. Chris took over the reins from Shane Webster, who decided to pursue new ventures after 22 years of establishing Nashua Zululand as a leading service provider in the area.

Chris has been a Zululander his whole life.He attended Grantham Park Primary School and Empangeni High School before climbing a very successful corporate ladder. ‘After spending more than 15 years in the corporate ICT sector, I decided it was time for a change,’ he says. ‘I was fortunate that Shane was looking for someone to join his team to oversee the technical department. ‘I joined Nashua Zululand in October 2014 as their Operations Manager, looking after the office automation, logistics and ICT teams. ‘This role expanded to include the copy and print shop, consumables division and, more recently, the sales team. ‘I became Managing Director on 1 September.’ When he’s not busy running the company, this husband and father of two boys enjoys spending time in nature, being out and about in the bush, beach or mountains, or doing some gardening.

Renisha Premdeo

Renisha grew up in Tongaat, but has been living in Zululand for the past 17 years. She started her career as an accountant, but later entered the hospitality sector before joining Nashua Zululand six years ago as Financial Manager. A year later she was promoted to Financial Director of the company. Renisha is an avid photographer.‘You will always find me with a camera in my hands.’ She also enjoys baking, reading, travelling and spending time with family in her spare time. ‘I am very excited, but also nervous about our new venture,’Renisha says. ‘Nashua has been in Zululand for 22 years and Shane built up a company with an immaculate reputation. ‘Shane entrusted his legacy onto us, and we hope to take it forward another 22 years,’ says Renisha. Chris adds, ‘Nashua Zululand is an established organisation that is well rooted in the Zululand community. ‘It is an honour to be in the position to lead the wonderful team in providing world class products to our valued clients. ‘I will endeavour to fulfil this daunting task and ensure that each of our clients enjoys all the services that the Nashua brand can supply them.’ Asked about his future plans for Nashua Zululand, Chris says: ‘Diversification has always been one of Nashua’s strengths, and I am looking forward to introducing new products and services to further enable our clients to perform at their best.’
